About Offset

Offset is a show at HSPVA made to showcase the creations of young filmmakers. Originally proposed as a Creative Writing exclusive to allow Creative Writers to show films that were over Off the Page's time limit, the idea was expanded to include submissions from any department. Offset now operates in collaboration with Film Production club.

Offset takes a strong stance against the use of AI. AI has no place in an event meant to showcase human art.

Offset has a focus on narrative films, and we prefer films composed of original footage. This means that a found footage film or visual poem might be better suited for another performance or event. However, this isn't a hard and fast rule. If you think your film may fit Offset, try submitting it!
